Shuttleworth & Ingersoll welcomes Attorney Michael R. Young

The law firm of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll is pleased to announce that Mike Young has joined our team of attorneys. Mike practices primarily in business and corporate law and represents individual, business, and nonprofit clients in various matters. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University in 1998 and his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2001.

Prior to joining Shuttleworth, Mike worked at a law firm in Waterloo, Iowa, where he counseled individuals, businesses, and entities throughout the Midwest. Mike has served as lead counsel for numerous business mergers & acquisitions and is a welcome addition to our business law team. “I am thrilled to become a part of the Shuttleworth team; it is an honor to join such an exceptional group of professionals. Mike is licensed to practice in Iowa and Illinois and will be based in the Cedar Valley area as we look to expand our physical footprint in the Cedar Valley. He is a Waterloo native and has three sons with his wife, Dodie. Mike has a long history of public service and volunteer activities. He served on the Waterloo School Board for eight years, the last 5 of which were as president. He helped found and was president of the Waterloo Schools Foundation and Waterloo Community Foundation. Mike is currently president of the R.J. McElroy Trust and is a director of the Young Family Foundation.
