Shuttleworth & Ingersoll Welcomes Attorney Laura L. Folkerts

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Feb. 22, 2022) – The law team at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll is pleased to announce that Laura Folkerts has joined in the area of labor & employment law, including employment-related litigation, effective January 24, 2022. In her new role, she advises employers on employment matters, assists with trainings, policy review, and development, and handles investigations and complaints, both internal and before civil rights commissions.

Prior to joining Shuttleworth, Laura worked at a law firm in Waterloo, Iowa, where she maintained a general practice with an emphasis on labor and employment.

Laura is an honors graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She received her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
She resides in rural Nashua with her husband and three children and enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending as much time as possible with her friends and family. She serves on the Nashua-Plainfield School Board and is an active volunteer with Compassion Educational Pursuits, a nonprofit that seeks to advance the educational pursuits of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
