Shuttleworth & Ingersoll Receives St. Luke’s Foundation Founder’s Award

Shuttleworth & Ingersoll is proud to be named as a recipient of the Founder’s Award from St. Luke’s Foundation, representing the firm’s support of the mission of St. Luke’s Hospital and the long-standing relationship between the two organizations.St. Luke’s Foundation created this award in 1977 to specifically recognize individual or organizations that have had a significant impact on healthcare in this community. Shuttleworth & Ingersoll received the award at a reception hosted by the St. Luke’s Foundation on June 29, 2017. Criteria for this award includes: Impact—Demonstrated philanthropy to St. Luke’s HospitalLeadership—Providing distinguished service to St. Luke’s Hospital and the Foundation, by setting a clear example of service, through participation in the organizational structures of the hospital: board service, committee work, volunteerism, advisory committees, special task assignments, or other organizations of St. Luke’s HealthcareDevotion—Clear understanding and acceptance of the missions of St. Luke’s Healthcare and the Foundation, and a willingness to assist with the articulation of that mission, to the constituents that the hospital serves“Shuttleworth has been an integral part of St. Luke’s since way before I got here. They were a huge part of our story then, and they are now,” said Ted Townsend, President & CEO of St. Luke’s Hospital.
Shuttleworth has enabled the successes of many projects at St. Luke’s, each one bringing a more advanced level of patient care. Highlights of a few projects at St. Luke’s supported by Shuttleworth & Ingersoll include St. Luke’s first robot, an inpatient hospice unit, a lifeguard air ambulance, the Cook Cancer Wellness Program, and the Child Protection Center. “Shuttleworth & Ingersoll has had a long history with St. Luke’s what really has driven our affinity for St. Luke’s is the breadth and depth of its mission throughout the community and throughout Eastern Iowa,” said Gary Streit, chairman of the board for Shuttleworth & Ingersoll. Don Johnson, attorney and senior vice president at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, currently serves as a board member for St. Luke’s Foundation. “It’s important that we have high quality healthcare in the area. St. Luke’s does a great job in following their mission of providing the healthcare that you want your loved ones to receive,” said Johnson.
