Office Celebrates Clare, Survivor
January 20, 2017
The office celebrates Clare Birdsell (seated, center) as a survivor of thyroid cancer.
Clare Birdsell, assistant at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in November of 2016. Today, just two months later, Clare is cancer-free. Attorneys and staff at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll showed their support for Clare’s fight by collecting donations in exchange for wearing jeans to work. All the money collected went to help offset Clare’s medical expenses. It has been less than a year since Clare joined the team of legal staff at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll. It will be a few more years before she has an official work anniversary, as she started working on February 29, 2016. “I am grateful that I get to call Shuttleworth my place of employment—all of the support from everyone here has been so humbling,” said Clare. “Thank you everyone, for all your thoughts, prayers, kind words, and encouragement. With all this support I’ve kept my head up and moving forward, knowing I’ve got this!”Staff and attorneys hope to continue to celebrate Clare’s remission for years to come.
