Holiday Gift Drive with Linn Law Club

Shuttleworth & Ingersoll is again raising money to provide holiday cheer to local families in need through HACAP. As most are aware, in years past, simultaneously the Linn Law Club also hosted an Annual Holiday Gift Drive to provide gifts and food to needy families also through HACAP. We are again this year partnering with Linn Law Club. What can I do?Please donate! The Linn Law Club will use the money to purchase food, clothing, and gifts for each member of the family. You can also volunteer to help shop or wrap gifts for a family. Please email Linn Law Club at linnlawboard@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering.This year again the shopping, wrapping and delivering of the gifts will be coordinated through Linn Law Club. While S&I won’t be shopping or wrapping the gifts here at the office, we still encourage you to participate and help the Linn Law Club with shopping, wrapping and delivering. RSH Legal will be hosting the wrapping party on December 14, 2018 at 6 pm. Pizza and drinks provided by Linn Law Club. Kids are welcome join in the festivities! Because S&I has always been so generous in the amount of money raised, that usually translates to a lot more people for which to purchase, SO, if you can spare the time to help shop or wrap or both, the Linn Law Club would love the help! Where do I send my contribution?Please write a (fully tax-deductible) check to “Linn Law Club” with “HACAP Holiday Drive” in the memo line. Donations can be given/delivered to Vince Geis or Sara Wiltgen (5th Floor). When is the deadline?Please given Vince your contribution by December 3, 2018. How are families selected?The families are referred to HACAP (Hawkeye Area Community Action Program) by schools and local agencies who know them. The organizations choose families who are in special need of help this holiday season, such as families who have experienced layoffs or foreclosures. What’s in it for me?You’ll receive the satisfaction of helping a family in need. Last year, S&I raised $2,547! It would be amazing to raise over $2,000 again and help that many more families! Additionally, Linn Law Club will recognize the firms and individuals making the largest contributions at the Linn County Bench/Bar event in January and those individuals/firms will receive homemade baked goods delivered to the office.
