Brian D. Bergstrom has been named president of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C.
Gary J. Streit has been named chairman of the board of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C.
Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C. is proud to announce Brian Bergstrom as president of the firm, effective January 1, 2017. Gary Streit, former president, has been named chair of the firm’s board of directors. Brian’s practice focuses on sales and acquisitions of businesses; equity finance; securities; and business contracts, consulting, and planning. He is also chair of the firm’s M&A and equity finance practice groups. He joined Shuttleworth & Ingersoll in 1998 after beginning his career as an attorney in Chicago, Illinois, in 1989. Brian earned his undergraduate degree in economics at Harvard College. He was the Lionel de Jersey Harvard Scholar to Cambridge University in Cambridge, England in 1985–1986 and completed his Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School in 1989. “I look forward to helping lead our firm and am proud to work with such a dedicated and talented group of attorneys and advisors,” said Bergstrom. Gary Streit will continue to advise and help lead the firm as chair of the board, a new position within the firm. Gary began his career as a lawyer at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll in 1975 and has served on the board of directors since 1985. He was named president of the firm in 2002. During Gary’s time as a board member and more recently as president, the firm has significantly grown in terms of the number of attorneys and client base. Gary has taken a leading hand in expanding, nurturing, and developing the firm into a multi-specialty law firm serving clients all over the world. “I’m proud of our many accomplishments and the outstanding work the firm has done for our clients, which will continue under Brian’s leadership,” said Streit. Both Gary and Brian will continue as full-time practicing attorneys. Along with Gary and Brian, Steve Pace, Connie Alt, and Laurie Dawley were recently reelected to the board of directors of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll.
