Attorneys Joseph Miller & Ross Andrews present to The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics

Joseph M. Miller and Ross T. Andrews presented as guest speakers to The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics students on Friday, November 12. The Attorneys’ presentation titled Legal Considerations for Your Dental Practice covered important health law topics such as medical malpractice, business, and compliance. Focused on the fundamental understanding of health law and how it applies to Dental Health. Students were provided with valuable information and resources as it related to Business formation considerations, including entity formation, purchasing a practice and real estate purchasing, and leading human resources and employment law considerationsAvoiding medical malpractice claimsLogistics of a medical malpractice claim per review policies Compliance programs, Non-compete restrictions Fraud and abuse laws, including Stark, Anti-kickback and the False Claims Act Miller and Andrews were invited to present by John Syrbu, Doctor of Dental Surgery, Clinical Assistant Professor Department of Family Dentistry, University of Iowa.

Joseph M. Miller represents companies and individuals in matters relating to business and healthcare. Ross T. Andrews

Ross Andrews is an Associate Attorney focusing on medical malpractice, long-term care, and civil litigation. He is a 2014 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he studied political science, and a recent graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law. While attending law school, Ross served as a member of the Iowa Law Review and worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Todd Petty.
