Sam Jones, Attorney and Vice President at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, has been named Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser for his recent work as campaign chair for Willis Dady Homeless Services, presented at the 2018 National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Eastern Iowa Chapter on Tuesday, November 13, at the Cedar Rapids Marriott.Jones served as chair of a capital campaign that raised $3.1 million for Willis Dady Homeless Services in less time than expected. When my kids ask what I do when I’m gone during the day, I’m always proudest to talk about Willis Dady,” said Jones.“ I want to thank the Willis Dady staff. What you do every day is so fundamentally important to our community, I’m excited to play a small part in the good that you do, and the success of this capital campaign turns on the work you’ve done, the work you continue to do, and the work you’re going to do moving forward.” Jones is the fourth Shuttleworth & Ingersoll attorney to be recognized as the recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser by AFP Eastern Iowa in the last six years.
