Betsy Souer and Sarah Thielen Join Shuttleworth & Ingersoll as Associate Attorneys

The two newest associate attorneys at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, Elizabeth L. Souer (Betsy) and Sarah. C. Thielen, have successfully passed of the Iowa bar exam, as reported today by the Iowa Board of Law Examiners. Congratulations, Betsy and Sarah!About Betsy Souer

Betsy Souer practices intellectual property law and real estate law as an associate attorney at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll. Betsy worked as a summer associate for Shuttleworth & Ingersoll in the summer of 2017. She earned her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2018. She also completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa, graduating with a degree in industrial engineering in 2007. Originally from Coralville, Iowa, Betsy now lives in North Liberty, Iowa, with her husband and three children.At the University of Iowa College of Law, Betsy was a member of the Equal Justice Foundation and student ambassador to the reunion class of 1972. Betsy has experience working as a legal intern at HNI Corp., a summer law clerk at Nyemaster Goode, and an externship with the University of Iowa Research Foundation. She has also served as a volunteer for Junior Achievement.About Sarah Thielen

Sarah Thielen practices business law and estate planning as an associate attorney at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll. Sarah started as a summer associate with Shuttleworth & Ingersoll in 2016 and returned for the summer in 2017, before graduating with her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2018. She is a 2014 graduate of Coe College, where she studied business administration. Sarah is originally from Dubuque, Iowa, and now lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.At the University of Iowa College of Law, Sarah was a senior managing editor of the Iowa Law Review, student ambassador for the Admissions Office, member of the Global Ambassadors Program, President of the Equal Justice Foundation, and member of the Iowa Law Diversity Committee. Sarah also spent a semester working as an extern for Justice Waterman of the Iowa Supreme Court.
