Bankruptcy Law

The Shuttleworth & Ingersoll Bankruptcy Practice Area attorneys represent creditors in bankruptcy matters around the country. Our lawyers have substantial experience in all aspects of bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7 liquidations, Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 12 agricultural reorganizations, and Chapter 13 proceedings. The Firm’s agribusiness attorneys provide advice and assistance regarding state and federal laws governing various aspects of agriculture and agribusiness.

Public Finance Law

Shuttleworth & Ingersoll Attorneys have experience providing legal counsel in public financing, specifically the issuance and holding of tax-exempt bonds, for a variety of governmental issuers, including community colleges, colleges and universities, and other nonprofit entities. Shuttleworth & Ingersoll is listed in the Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace (the “Red Book”) as nationally recognized bond counsel.

Bond financing work requires a deep understanding of the complexities of the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) applicable to tax exempt bond issuances and the rules of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in the event the bonds are to be publicly marketed.
