About Marty L. Stoll

Marty Stoll is an Attorney and Senior Vice President at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C. Marty’s work focuses on commercial and residential real estate law and general business law including contracts, entity formation, and regulatory and compliance issues. Marty also represents non-profit corporations and corporate victims of financial fraud. Marty currently serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group and is former chair of the Business Practice Group.

Home builders have new requirements

Home builders have new requirements

Home builders have new obligations under the revised mechanic’s liens laws in Iowa, which went into effect on Jan. 1. The revisions created a Mechanic’s Notice & Lien Registry (MNLR) with the Iowa Secretary of State to serve as a central filing system for notices and liens on a statewide level, rather than the previous system which required filings at the county level.
